bus ride

Yesterday, we rode a double-decker bus for the first time!

They are a signature item of the UC Davis campus.
(The older ones came all the way from England.)

Hannah & Peter have been begging to get on one and it turns out that in 12 1/2 years of living in Davis, Matt had also never stepped on one.

So off we went.



The kids were super excited that the bus had stairs!
 

And that there were no seat belts!!

Looking out the windows, Hannah was curious about being high above everything else.

She thought it might be a really long bus ride so she brought along
some paper and crayons to "make art".

Daddy was pretty pumped!

When all the students cleared out,
we headed up to the front of the top story and enjoyed the view from there.

Peter held on tight!

Yes, I was there too!!

 

And we finished off our adventure with a stop at the CoHo (UCD speak for Coffeehouse) Bakery and enjoyed some scrumptious treats!

I heart family adventures.

Life with these three is wonderful and busy!!

It is full of lots of morning snuggles...

concern over what is coming out of Abigail's nose. :)

sister time, 

a bit of crowding and fascination,

smiling for the ever-present camera, 

growing (check out the rolls on her legs),

seeing new perspectives on the world,

so many cute toes ,

and lots of moving legs and arms.
